The changing political map of Europe_current map

Posted on August 3, 2011 by admin

The map ofEurope has never looked as blue as it does today, as snapshots from this Guardian interactive map plotting the changing political ce of the continent show.

The changing political map of Europe_current map,A month after the defeat of Portugals socialists, Spain, Austria, Slovenia, Greece and Finland represent the only remaining islands of red in what is otherwise a sea of conservative governments currently in power across the rest of the 27-nation bloc.

The last time it came close to being dominated by one political current was in March 2004, when Spain swung to the left in elections held three days after al-Qaida bombs claimed 192 lives at Madrids Atocha railway station (the defeated Aznar government had blamed the attacks on Eta, the Basque separatist group).

This left much of the union, including Britain, Germany and Poland, leaning leftward but even so, big hitters such as France and Italy, as well as some smaller countries, including Portugal, Ireland, Austria, Slovakia, Greece and Denmark, remained conservative.

Go back further, to the signing of the Maastricht treaty in 1993. Here, the divide coincidentally, obviously appears to run roughly on north-south lines: Spain, France, Italy and Greece (as well as Denmark) were socialist; Portugal, Britain, Holland, Belgium and a newly reunited Germany were conservative or Christian Democrat.

Further back still Buy WOW Gold, in November 1989 when the Berlin wall came down, swathes of the continent including soon-to-be-merged east Germany were in the grip of totalitarian regimes.

And way back in the beginning when the UK, Denmark and Ireland joined what was then the European Economic Community in January 1973, Scandinavia and Austria (not yet members) and West Germany were socialist, Britain, the Benelux, France and Italy were rightwing, and everyone else including Portugal, Spain and Greece were not yet democraccurrent map of europeies.

Quite what any of this means, of course Vibram Five Fingers Shoes Sale, beyond the rather obvious observation that these are not particularly great days for the European left, is anybodys guess. It looks pretty, though.

Left, right Juicy Couture, wow gold. left: how political shifts have altered the map of Europe

With 21 EU member states now under varying degrees of rightwing government, Europe has never been more blue. See how has its political complexion has changed in the 38 years since Britain joined the EEC

In this guest posting, Seven&8217;s newly appointed director of social media Adam Boland explains why he has dropped Facebook in vour of Google+ as his social network for his own use.

account manaAccount Manager Independent Agency Automotive Account,To be honest, Ive never really understood Facebook.

Treating all of your friends as equals just doesnt reflect real life. I like the concept of sharing Cheap Juicy Couture Handbags, but why should my mily get the same feed as people I see once a year?

For anyone that attends industry awards nights, the ct that ABC personalities are for hire at corporate events will not be a shock, despite today&8217;s news coverage around Q&A&8217;s Tony Jones.

Take last week&8217;s IAB Awards where ABC 702&8242;s Adam Spencer was holding the fort.

Indeed, I felt like holding up my metaphorical cigarette lighter to go along with his greatest hit, so often have I heard him perform it.

Those folks at Draft FCB sure are ns of hoaxing the trade press.

It&8217;s not much more than three years since as editor of B&T I banned Draft FCB&8217;s press releases from the magazine after they hoaxed us with a stunt involving claims that two of its creatives were leaving for a startup. It turned out to be to promote the new series of Mad Men.

This week saw a document arrive in the post from &8220;The Australian Interior Authority&8221; headed Notice of Your Redeployment.

Like, I suspect, many journalists in Australia, I spent last night on the so.

(I did briefly retreat to bed but afterABC News Radio took an urgent pontification break and missed the moment when Rupert Murdoch was attacked, I was back out of bed to watch it on TV.)

Its just the latest in a fortnight when anybody interested in the media has had to check the news just before going to bed, andaccount manager profile as soon as they wake up. The more obsessive among us have also been sleeping with the radio on.

There has never been a more dramatic moment in the history of global media.

This weekend, I mostly watched episodes of Under The Cover, the fly-on-the wall doco following Marie Claire editor Jackie Frank.

I must confess that my hopes weren&8217;t high, but I felt duty bound to catch up with the contents of my Foxtel box.

In this guest post, James Coleman suggests brands should not create a Facebook page just because everyone else is

During the last fortnight Ive been struck by the number of times the Facebook icon has appeared at the end of TV ads. Become a n of food, polo ralph lauren outlet. insurance, homewares, automobiles, travel, whatever. Its over 15 years since we experienced the internet bubble, but Im feeling like were in the midst of a Facebook bubble.

In this guest post, Mediacom&8217;s Nic Hodges observes the Twitter blowtorch turned onto brands advertising with the News of the World

What a day to be in London.James Murdoch&8217;s announcement that after 168 years, this Sunday&8217;s News of the World will be the last ever has ricocheted around the internet ster than a ke celebrity death. And if you&8217;re an advertiser in any category in any country, there is a lesson to be learned from today.

So here&8217;s a thought, Faix.

You know how youpromised to stop autoplaying video?

And you know howmedia is suffering something of an image crisis at the moment?

How about you don&8217;t autoplayvideo of a man lling to his death?

Perhaps I&8217;m not a typical reader, but I didn&8217;t really want to see that.

Despite what may be an impression to the contrary, Ive been literally dragged through a hedge backwards just the once.

It happened about 16 years ago when as a younger and braver reporter than I am now, I decided that the ideal vantage point to take photographs of riot police and anti live animal export protesters was between the two converging groups.

So I have physically experienced the powerful emotional impact that live animal exports can have on the public.

TNS has released a list of Australia&8217;s top 100 brands. The results are based on interviews with consumers aged 15 to 64, who were asked to list their vourite brands between February and April this year. Sony is top. Bing is the biggest climber. Uncle Toby is the furthest ller.

Tim Evans of Ogilvy Melbourne argues that Gen Y&8217;ers in advertising should not be feared. They should be promoted

The other night I found myself re-watching an episode of Mad Men. Its easy to get sucked into their fictional stereotype of the ad world. Well dressed, slick haired and quick witted, Don Draper is all old-school allure as he lays the Carousel spiel on Kodak. It takes us around and around, and back home. To a place where we know we are loved, Draper delivered.

In this guest posting, Kaye Fallick explains why an ad that makes a baby boomer feel their age is like a man aware that he has a small penis

There are many bad TV ads out there. But the worst of all has to be the RACV member benefits ad. What makes this ad so bad? It ils on nearly every level. But most importantly, it unknowingly mocks the very people it is trying to attract.

This weekend Long Sleeve Polo Shirts, the Cannes Film Lions jury revealed its choice for the best TV ads of the last 12 months. There was one grand prix and 14 golds.

I like this patch :0 But I liked PTR more….Yes, I am one of those losers who RPs on the PTR it was fun. But I liked raiding on the PTR with free gear and some buddies of mine so raiding was fun. And I dont lose 50DDKP if we wipe like on live xD

o.0 In next patch, everything is going to be restored. 59% sure of it. Mages will be puny again, holyadins will have their mana back Site Admin, warriors will have their … >_> What ever warriors have ;3. Its bound to happen. Tooo much power was given to mages.

@Yatacha: Hopefully! Considering my main is an Unholy Death Knight, I feel the need for everything else to be more… kill able again. Its embarrassing to get 3 shotted by a cloth wearer.

P.s. Is this the right thread to Ryder or Riot! in? Jk.

Why is it so easy to get smashed by one or two hits…?? Its like your armor and buffs dont do squat!!!!!!!!Can a Pally Get a break or somethiwow armory siteng…!!!!!!!!!

what are you guys doing with the ptr? im not saying i want it back i just want to know its been down for like a month

well there was alot of things wrong with what they did the day before in maitnence like for one when u said lol on a tauren there would be no sound but if u typed /laugh there would and theres prob alot of other things needed to be fixed

@Gargile: AGREED! I run solo, not knowing any WoWees personally. Ive been in and out of years of pugs and cliques(a.k.a. guilds) chasing gear. Wish I could accomplish more -and timely- w/out all the drama. I know its a social game, maybe its a personal problem, but so much demands commited grouping I tire of dealing with.

@Ajsax: agreed. I am not a huge n of the firelands dailies now that i know that you need 150 marks for wardens, another 150 for druids, then 125 for each vendor. Hell if i sell my soul to a guild i can raid run heroics to gear past that. Theyre basically forcing casuals to raid and commit with all those marks needed. I would just like a drama free way to enjoy the game and still get cool looking gear. Im not asking to have heroic gear handed to me but id rather not grind for months to accomplish something so casual friendly

Ladies and gentlemen of both ctions, I have only a few things to touch on:

1) spelling, sentence structure, and grammar…please. You will be taken more seriously with these in place.

2) I believe that Blizzard has come up with one of the best, if not the best, mmogs ever. So please cut them some slack. Most of what I have seen in the forums lately is moaning, complaning, and whinning. Logicly speaking, if you dont like the game or any aspect of it then reason dictates that you shouldnt play it or become a programmer, seek employment with blizzard and make your own changes. I really dont mean to be harsh here, Im just stating my personal thoughts.

3) Last but not least, as the Forsaken say, patience… I too am frustrated at times with the game, however, that does not give me license to curse and complain about it on any forum. Yeah, I would like to login before work, or complete a certianquest that got botched with a patch. Cursing and complaining about it really does nothing other than putting you into a negitive light. Its those players, the ones that have nothing beter to do than to curse and complain at Blizzard August 3, 2011 Long Sleeve Polo Shirts, that gives us, the wow community a bad name.

Just my two copper.

Have a great and wounderful day! =)

@Fuzzypits: what you il to understand is that much of what WoW has become is a result of the players. If people have an opinion its in everyones best interest that that opinion be given, since without critiscism the game would be just like it was back in vanilla.

I really dont think its your place to tell people how they should express themselves. SImply put, some people may feel much more strongly about something than you do. Your idea of leaving the game or becoming a programmer if something about the game doesnt suit us is, logicly speaking of course, retarded. Wether you know it or not, there are alot of aspects of the game that, if not well balanced, can make or break peoples experience of the game.

The bottom line is that we expect alot more out of the developers than theyre sometimes willing to give. Anyone who takes an active interest in the direction this games heading will agree. The most frustrating aspect of it is that most of the problems stem from the ct that the development team is understaffed. Its irly obvious to anyone with a little common sense that alot of the problems that make it to the live servers shouldve been discovered at some point during the development cycle. WoWs being placed on the back burner, bliz is attempting to squeeze as much money as they can out of the player base, with the least amount of input from their end. Right now theyre doing just enough to keep us playing. Its dissapointing, WoW should be in a state of gaming nirvana, cad programs. instead its mired in the same old problems.

countries euWests mid-life crisis points to power shift east

countries euWests mid-life crisis points to power shift east,ByKristina Cooke andEmily Kaiser

(Reuters) – The worlds industrialized nations, burdened with aging populations and deeply in debt FFXIV GIL, ce years of slow economic growth that could speed the shift of economic clout to the East.

The United States has no coherent plan to pay for supporting a retiree pool that is about to overflow with the so-called babyboom generation, and lawmakers missed an opportunity to address that during the debt debate that dragged the country to the edge of deult this week.

Its economy is too weak to create enough jobs for young people on whose shoulders the debt will ultimately rest.

In Europe, economists warn of a lost generation as youth unemployment soars as high as 40 percent in some countries. The average public debt of the 27-nation European Union stands 20 percentage points higher than it did before the financial crisis struck in 2008.

Across advanced economies, the average debt per person is $29,600 (18,150 pounds) in 2011 and is expected to reach $40,400 in 2016, said Brookings Institution economist Eswar Prasad.

For Americans, the debt burden per capita is $34,200 in 2011 and will rise to $49,100 by 2016. Japans is projected to hit $85,000 per person in 2016, the highest in the world.

Some of todays fiscal trouble is a consequence of the 2008 financial crisis, which drove millions of people out of work — some of them permanently — and shifted an enormous private debt burden onto the public sector.

The crisis struck at the worst possible time: at the leading edge of a retirement wave that will drive up healthcare and pension costs across virtually the entire developed world.

If public debt is not lowered to pre-crisis levels cheap polo ralph lauren shirts, potential growth in advanced economies could decline by more than one-half percent annually, the International Monetary Fund estimates. Project that out over a decade or so and it is easy to envisage both the United States and Europe limping through decades of Japan-style stagnation.

It does not have to be that way. Germany cut spending on welre and jobless benefits in the 1990s which helped revitalize the country as the powerhouse of Europe. Canada and Belgium also offer examples of how to turn around debt-heavy industrialized nations.

Nonetheless, the challenges look immense. The U.S. economy nearly stalled in the first half of 2011. Data on Tuesday showed consumer spending fell in June for the first time in nearly two years. It is not clear what will generate healthier growth in the future.

In Europe, despite cuts in spending and tax hikes, concern is acute about the ability of countries to tackle debt. Italian bond yields hit their highest level in the euros 11-year lifetime on Tuesday, prompting emergency government talks.

With interest rates at or near record lows in the United States, Britain and the euro zone, policymakers have limited options to spur ster growth.

Reuters posed a crystal-ball question to economists and political scientists around the world: what happens if the 20th Century powerhouses cant pull their weight?

Our society is in a mid-life crisis Logo Design Column, said Allen Sinai, president of DecisionEconomics in Boston. The jury is out whether we, as a nation, can come to grips with what is needed to find our way out of this in a reasonable way.

Three themes carried through the conversations:

Debt burdens will weigh on economic growth in the United States and Europe for years to come, and Washington is still r from addressing the root causes of its fiscal problem.

Emerging markets have the growth prospects and the public savings to start to supplant the United States as the worlds consumer of last resort, driving the global economy. What they lack is the political will and experience to set the agenda, which means the West wont merely de into the background.

It will take a long time to clean up the fiscal mess.

Assuming both the U.S. and Europe can have multiple years of sound fiscal management, which is a huge assumption, it will still take probably the majority of the rest of my career — and Im not that old — for them to bring debt levels down to stable levels, said Kenneth Akintewe, a portfolio manager with Aberdeen Asset Management in Singapore.

U.S. BUDGET BATTLE

The U.S. budget battle was symptomatic of a country deeply divided over the role of government, its responsibility to its citizens, and who should pay for which benefits.

Until those questions are answered, lawmakers cannot and will not address the long-term fiscal strains, which come primarily from rising retiree healthcare and pension costs.

Social Security and Medicare will gobble up an estimated $1.3 trillion this fiscal year and $2.3 trillion by 2021. In 10 years, those programs will account for 9.6 percent of gross domestic product, more than defense and discretionary spending combined, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

The U.S. deficit reduction package, which was signed into law on Tuesday, includes $2.1 trillion in cuts over the next decade Vibram Five Fingers Shoes Sale, r short of the $4 trillion many economists say are needed to stabilize the U.S. debt-to-P ratio.

Yet if countries europelawmakers had used a sharper knife, they might have inflicted more damage on the economy in the short term. Just as over-tightening of monetary policy is blamed for prolonging the Great Depression in 1937, some economists see a risk that deep budget cuts now will trigger a double-dip recession.

Those demanding spending cuts now are like medieval doctors who treated the sick by bleeding them, and thereby made them even sicker, Nobel-prize winning economist Paul Krugman wrote in the New York Times.

In April 2009, at the depths of the global recession, President Barack Obama put the world on notice that it could no longer rely on voracious U.S. consumers.

A look at second-quarter growth shows the United States is r from fully achieving that goal. Exports and domestic investment accounted for virtually all of second-quarter growth, but a drop in non-defense government spending erased a third of that gain, underscoring the short-term economic cost of cutbacks.

EUROPES LOST GENERATION

European countries entered the 2008 financial crisis with higher government spending levels than in the United States, and will emerge with a smaller public sector, fewer civil servants, higher retirement ages, and elevated unemployment particularly among the young and old.

The region was already headed for slower growth because the baby boom generation, born in the years after World War Two, is hitting retirement age and life expectancy is rising.

There are fewer working-age people to support those retirees. Only France and Britain boast growing populations among the biggest European economies.

Indeed, the demographic numbers are problematic across advanced economies. In 2008, there were 4.2 working-age people per retiree in the 34 countries that make up the OECD. By 2050, that figure will be cut in half.

The financial crisis cut Europes economic growth potential by an estimated one percentage point from about 2.5 percent to 1.5 percent due to unemployment, cutbacks in public spending and investment and the shrinking of the financial sector.

In the hardest-hit European countries, youth unemployment is now around 40 percent of the 16-25 age group.

Youth unemployment is becoming a huge social and economic problem. We are cing a lost generation, said Andrew Watt of the European Trade Union Institute.

By force or by choice, European countries are paring back government spending even further. Not surprisingly, bailed-out Greece underwent the most radical adjustment and suffered the deepest recession.

Many European countries are ahead of the United States on the austerity path and have dared to raise taxes as well as cut spending, something that was beyond the politically riven U.S. Congress even though tax levels, especially on rich Americans, are lower than the European average.

Europe offers a glimpse of the battles that could come as Washington rewrites its social contract. Credit rating agency Moodys warned last year that the budgetary decisions cing advanced economies may test social cohesion.

An angry mood of why should we pay for them has dominated the response to the Greek, Irish and Portuguese fiscal crises in northern European countries, particularly Germany Polo Shirts, the Netherlands, Finland and Austria.

CAN IT BE DONE?

History provides a handful of success stories when it comes to repairing severely damaged public finances. In the early 1990s Generator Everythingweb buttons, Belgiums debt hit 137 percent of its P, and it ced the prospect of not qualifying for euro zone entry. It cut spending and raised taxes to hit its target.

Canada ced a similarly daunting task in the 1990s, exacerbated by the Mexican peso crisis, which sent the Canadian dollar tumbling.

I went out for more than a year talking to Canadians so they could see how difficult the choices were and that everyone had to take part in the sacrifice, said Paul Martin, who was Canadas finance minister at the time.

He told Reuters his strategy was to try to ensure there were no winners or losers. He made a point of not meeting with special interest groups individually.

People also have to see there is an end point in sight, that their sacrifices are not in vain, he said.

U.S. policymakers have options for tackling longer-term fiscal issues without too much pain, such as raising the retirement age to 67 and they must invest more in research and higher education, said Sharyn OHalloran, a professor of political economy at Columbia University.

If you are not investing wisely in your infrastructure and your people you are undermining your ability to compete globally, she said. We still have the most creative computer technology. You still have Googles and Apples in the U.S. rather than elsewhere.

STACKING UP THE BRICS

For Asia,Juicy Couture. the prospect of two of its best export customers trudging through decades of slow growth is not as problematic as it might have been just five years ago.

Although exports to the United States have soared in recent years, for most countries in the region it represents a shrinking share of the economy.

In China, for example, the exposure through U.S. exports has roughly halved since 2006 even though the dollar value of shipments has risen by 27 percent. For a graphic showing Asias trade exposure to the United States.

As for Europe, the bulk of Asias trade exposure flows to Germany, where growth has held up well.

The best hope for Asias sustained growth lies within Asia itself. Household income is rising in emerging markets, creating a burgeoning middle class that can consume at least some of the goods the United States or Europe no longer want.

Chinas latest five-year economic plan included provisions to raise the minimum wage by some 84 percent by 2015.

Per capita average income is still r below Western norms but adjusted for purchasing power, private consumption demand in the BRIC economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China is already 93 percent of the U.S. market, said Deutsche Bank global strategist Sanjeev Sanyal.

Emerging markets as a whole and Asia in particular can now generate consumer demand on a scale that can compensate for stagnation, albeit not a collapse, in advanced countries, Sanyal said.

China has already replaced the United States as the worlds largest automobiles market, Sanyal noted. China and India combined boast a movie industry that rivals Hollywood by some measures. In sports, the Indian Premier League for cricket is the second-highest paying sports league in the world, behind only the U.S. National Basketball Association, Sanyal said.

Emerging Asia has only begun to tap its potential. Chinas consumption accounts for just a third of its gross domestic product, less than half the level in the United States.

China showed off its potential in 2008, when it quickly ramped up a large stimulus program to counter the global recession, said Pieter Bottelier, a professor of China studies at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington. Not only did its economy come roaring back, it was credited with helping to restore global growth.

I was one of those who predicted prolonged unemployment in 2008, Bottelier said. I was dead wrong.

But Chinas current strength may be its longer-term weakness. The wage growth that lifts its consumption potential makes it less competitive as the worlds low-cost ctory. Even its population advantage is ding as the one-child policy adopted 30 years ago means it may begin cing labor shortages within five years.

The big emerging markets have so many domestic challenges that they are not yet prepared to take the lead on politics or policy. When the IMF sought a new leader this year, emerging economies could not agree on a candidate from among their own.

Chinas reaction to the U.S. debt crisis showed it does not relish the idea of a llen superpower. State-run news agency Xinhua chided the United States for dallying with deult and reminded its big trading partner that others would be hurt by inaction.

Developing economies would suffer a traumatic blow, and the world economy would plunge into yet another recession on the heels of the one that struck in 2008, and (which) also originated in the United States — only the mess could be much nastier this time, Xinhua said.

trade wow acLadies and gentlemen, your 2012 Cleveland Indians!

Posted on August 3, 2011 by admin

Cleveland Indians general manager Chris Antonetti never would say this publicly, but the teams weekend trade for Colorado starter Ubaldo Jimenez was made for 2012. Not 2012 and 2013, like some would have you believe. But for 2012.

trade wow acLadies and gentlemen, your 2012 Cleveland Indians!,I was shocked Saturday night when, fighting the terrible signal you get inside Progressive Field or Cleveland Browns Stadium, I managed to get a few tweets about the deal. Alex White AND Drew Pomeranz? Iblasted the deal on Twitter. It was exceedingly uncharacteristic of this prudent Indians front office; it smacks of an appeal to the n base, which is always dangerous.Hey, give the Dolans credit: They made an investment in their team. Their customers finally responded this season Buy WOW Gold, and to keep them coming back &8211; especially as this season spins out of control &8211; something was needed.

But was it the best investment?

I say the deal is for 2012 because, well, it cant possibly for 2011. The Indians scored eight runs in three games against the Royals, and five of them were miraculous on Saturday night. The offense is terrible. Matt LaPorta won the game Saturday night — yes,Vibram Five Fingers Shoes Sale. a great moment for him, the Indians and the ns. But LaPorta has been a colossal disappointment — and one who, as mentioned on Twitter after the game, deleted his Twitter account because ns were too negative. Uh, Matt? Play better. This aint Florida any more.

And its not for 2014, either logo design, because if Jimenez is half the pitcher hes been to this point and pitches well in Cleveland, hell void his 2014 option in search for a multi-year and multi-million-dollar deal.

And it isnt for 2013, because if Jimenez cant solve every Indians woe, hell be the next CC Sabathia. Need proof? Check out this quote from Antonetti from Sunday afternoon:

&8220;In our market, we dont have the ability to acquire these guys through major-league free agency.&8221;

In other words, dont you dare expect us to sign him to a big,Juicy Couture. multi-year deal. Nothing like taking the wind out of ns sails within 18 hours of the deal, right?

Say Jimenez pitches well outside of Coors Field the rest of this year &8211; the differences in his home/road splits this year are pretty stark, in the Indians defense — and maybe wins 19 games in 2012. Then the Indians tank in 2013, and are staring down another July fire sale, with Jimenez at the top of the list. After all, the GM already is on record as saying the Indians cant compete with a big-money deal from elsewhere. The real question is: Will the Indians get a package similar to Alex White and Drew Pomeranz in exchange for him? No way. (You could argue this was the best thing the leagues biggest spenders could have hoped for: The Indians gave up the top prospects, and cant sign him. So the Yankees, Red Sox, etc. just have to pay him. No prospects. Just pay him. Like they did with, yknow, Sabathia.)

So the Ubaldo Jimenez deal is for 2012, and, hey, if the Indians go back to the ALCS or the World Series, itll all be worth it. Privately, the Indians must be hoping that Lonnie Chisenhall &8211; who had a terrific game on Saturday, then bizarrely sat out Sunday &8211; turns in more stellar performances, that Jason Kipnis is the real deal at second. That LaPorta figures it out August 2011, that Grady Sizemore either finally heals or skips town, leaving some money open for another hitter. That Travis Hafner jumps in the time machine and hits 2007. That Shin-Soo Choo forgets his DUI arrest and gets back to the old Choo. That Michael Brantley continues to play well.

That way, there are no more no-hitters, no more nine runs-in-four-games stretches, where Justin Masterson has to throw his own no-hitter to even have a chance to win a game. I got a tweet on Saturday that, with Masterson and Jimenez at the top of the rotation, maybe the Indians are hoping for a rule change that can turn a 0-0 tie into a win.

All in all, its been a bizarre 36 hours, with a front office that long has ignored ns calls for imprudent trades, that has rejected over-the-top &8220;acquisition costs&8221; and stuck to its plan &8211; suddenly pulling a 180. I saw a quote somewhere on Sunday that had Antonetti saying the &8220;acquisition costs&8221; for a hitter were r too much. Really?! And the acquisition costs for Jimenez were what,Juicy couture diaper bag. a drop in the bucket?!

Its the first time in my 5 years in Cleveland and covering the Indians that Ive thought, wow, the Indians really made a rash decision and listened to unrealistic n demands. And you know what they always say: Listen to the folks in the seats and youre bound to eventually join them.

at Also, still waiting to hear the official details regarding Jimenezs 2nd club option of $8MM for 2014 and his ability to void that option due to the trade. 2013s club option for $5.75MM is not voidable by Jimenez.

at Only time will tell if Antonettis first major trade is a bust or a boom. Too bad we couldnt get some hitting – you can have great pitching but you cant win trade wow accountgames if your offense cant score any runs. Just ask Justin Masterson.

at if Jimenez is half the pitcher hes been to this point and pitches well in Cleveland Comments RSS, hell void his 2014 option… Unless you have more information than has been publicized thus r, you have no basis for this statement, except it fits your hypothesis. None of the Indians press corps has publicized any parameters for Jimenez voiding the club option in 2013. If he has a 20 win season next year, and assuming the Indians do some offensive acquisitions during this off season Taobao Agent, he may well be worth the two prospects we gave up. A rotation of Masterson, Jimenez, Tomlin and some combination of Carmona, McAllister, Hagadone, Gomez and Huff would certainly make our rotation the strongest in the division, if not the AL. Some of the aforementioned pitching could be used to acquire a real outfielder or first baseman to provide a little offense for the staff. Remember how much fun the teams were in the 90s when they beat everyone into submission? That wont ever happen again. As nerve racking as it is, dominant pitching will always keep you in a game and give even a weak hitting team a chance to win. The playoffs reduce offensive teams to also-rans with good pitching. You can never have enough good pitching and you can always trade it for more than its worth.

EA Sports Introduces The ‘Season Ticket’?wow download

Posted on August 3, 2011 by admin

Therumored subscription program has come to fruition. Today EA Sports announced the &8216;Season Ticket&8217; &8211; a yearly subscription plan that will be sold for $25/2000 MS points. The four primary benefits of the service are as follows:

EA Sports Introduces The ‘Season Ticket’?wow download,•Early Full-Game Digital Access

Three days before a games scheduled release, ns will be able to download and play the full version of all five participating titles on Xbox 360 and PS3. The digitally downloaded game will time out when the game is available at retail and consumers have the option to purchase the same full game on disc at retail. EA SPORTS Season Ticket subscribers can transfer all achievements earned during the three-day download period to the purchased disc, resulting in an early edge over the competition.

•Discounted Downloadable Content

Subscribers will get a 20-percent discount on all available downloadable content for participating EA SPORTS titles. Downloadable content, which enhances and refreshes the core game experience, includes such items as Ultimate Team packs, accelerator packs and gear upgrades.

•Free Premium Web Content

Premium web content extends the game experience beyond the console to a web browser. All participating titles will feature premium web content that will be free to EA SPORTS Season Ticket members beginning with the premium Creation Center packs for FIFA Soccer 12. These packs provide a deeper set of customization tools and abilities within Creation Center to build your own teams and tournaments, and will be available to the consumer until the membership to the program has expired.

•Membership Recognition

Subscribers are easily identifiable with an exclusive membership recognition badge displayed both in-game and on their EASPORTS.com profile.

The &8216;Season Ticket&8217; will kick off starting with Madden NFL 12 but can be purchased as early as today. In a poll regarding the potential subscription planrespondents soundly rejected the idea. Now that the final details are out there what do you think of the &8216;Season Ticket&8217;?

Wow. . . no discounted game titles due to them not pressing discs or the savings on not packaging games. . . sheesh. SMH

Wow. . . no discounted game titles due to them not pressing discs or the savings on not packaging games. . . sheesh. SMH

If you like downloading all of their demos&8230;and can do so but now get the full game for $5 a game, it doesnt sound too bad. I&8217;m not excited about it&8230;but not completely put off by it either.

How many of these different &8220;money grab&8221; ideas is EA going to try?  Wouldn&8217;t it be easier to give up the exclusive licenses if their regular sales can&8217;t pay for them?

Talk about nickle and diming their hard core ns.  What a joke.

How many of these different &8220;money grab&8221; ideas is EA going to try?  Wouldn&8217;t it be easier to give up the exclusive licenses if their regular sales can&8217;t pay for them?

Talk about nickle and diming their hard core ns.  What a joke.

what the hell is this?  this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.  Thanks for giving me another reason to hate EA.  How about they work on fixing wow downloadbugs and glitches with the game instead of trying to pony more money out of people.

Don&8217;t worry&8230;there will be some EA Game Changers on here soon enough, telling us how good a deal this is.  Never ils.

Well&8230;.I only buy Madden and NCAA football every year, so that breaks down to 12.50 per game per year ADDITIONAL to the 60.00 already.

Next, I rarely buy DLC for either game because boosters seem cheap to me.  I prefer to earn those type of things.

Lastly, I would have to see what the &8220;Premiuim&8221; Web content would be for the 2 games.  My guess would be nothing much.

The only REAL positive in this would be the MEASLY 3 day advance of the release which isn&8217;t that big of a deal.  If it would be 1 &8211; 2 weeks, then that would be a different story.

A the end of it all&8230;..No i will not be a subscriber.

Well, first of all, you still have to go out and buy the game on a disc as the download expires once the game releases so they&8217;re not saving any of those costs.

More importantly though, on consoles, it&8217;s going to be a LONG time before you start to see price drops because of savings on discs/packaging because if EA were to turn around & offer the full version of Madden 12 as a download, three days early, at say, for example, $49.99 instead of $59.99, GameStop, Wal-Mart, Best Buy etc would be PISSED at EA.

In return, they stop promoting Madden 12 via in store displays and retail flyers, which causes a drop in sales that aren&8217;t going to be replaced by digital sales because of a) the subscription fee for the Season Ticket and b) even if they do release the download to all players on launch day, the low percentage of people who have their consoles connected to the internet.

You also run the risk of those retailers refusing to promote future EA games or for lesser known titles like their recent release of &8216;Shadows of the Damned&8217;, they may refuse to stock them at all if EA has screwed them on one of the biggest releases of the year.

This is why you see such high prices on Games on Demand & the PSN Store for full retail games. Until 98% or more of console owners have their systems connected to a broadband internet connection, you&8217;re not going to see day & date digital releases, nor a lesser price for digital versions of console games because they can&8217;t piss off the retailers.

Even once everybody is connected to the internet with their consoles, it will still be iffy as to how quickly you see these things because the console manucturers will still have to rely on retailers to sell the hardware that consumers will need to be able to download digital items.

Ah good point. Just re-read the article and noticed it does have a 3-day &8220;trial&8221; period.

Whyy don&8217;t they fix their games? They have problems with NCAA,Juicy Couture Outlet. of course there will be problems with Madden down the line&8230;.and needless to say you don&8217;t have a basketball franchise as of right now and if you did you couldn&8217;t compete with 2k, so how van I trust giving you 25 extra dollars, so I can have a game three days early? How do they think we are&8230;..by r the worst hustle of the century

if they had gone with the rumored one week and not three days id MAYBE think of this. the rest of this means nothing to me. what a joke

Awwhhhh Hell&8230;..I&8217;d just get it for the 4th feature alone&8230;.MEMBERSHIP RECOGNITION!  I want to be easily identifiable!  LMFAO!

You godda be kiddin me&8230;.(smack!)

Wont be long now until we see the day we see EA to try an charge us for each game we actually play on top of the purchase of the Disc!

EA, You guys got some pair of balls&8230;.some pair!

Go stick your subscription models up your ass&8230;your lucky we&8217;re even buying your cheesy 15 year old mo capped tech engine game that gets these corny rehashed features every year!

NiggggaaaaaaPulllleeeeeeeeeeeeeaase!

So we can&8217;t even do something as as editing rosters properly in NCAA but we can subscribe to download a broken game 3 days in advance. Gee thanks EA.

EA,

Basically I&8217;m paying you $25 to be a beta tester, since your games come out broken each cycle and a month or two passes before the real version is released. Thanks EA, I&8217;ve always wanted this, still can&8217;t forget back in 2003 you came to our college campus recruiting beta testers for Madden, NCAA, and Live. I didnt get a chance back then, but know I do&8230;Oooooh, it&8217;s like Christamas in July all over again!!!

Wait&8230;Wait,  Let me decphier this deal in my thick EAbonics impared skull for little bit&8230;.hmmmm

You each give us $25, We&8217;ll let you have:

-The game that your already purchasing a few days earlier

-A measly discount to purchase more useless stuff for your game

-Creation Content online that already comes with the game youv&8217;e just purchased!

-And finally, a big glowing badge next to your user name telling everyone how much of a tool you are for buying this membership!

This is a ntastic deal!&8230;move out of the way,   where do I sign up&8230;.. today!

-

Straight garbage.  So you get a discount on in game purchases&8230;..sounds like you prepay for them&8230;.are we at Sam&8217;s club now?  What a stupid idea.  I hope nobody buys it.

So you get it 3 days early&8230;big deal.

and you also get &8216;membership recognition&8217; with a badge that says &8220;I&8217;m A JACKASS FOR BUYING THIS PASS&8221;

EA, why don&8217;t you go ahead and get it over with and charge $100 for each of your crappy, half-finished video games.

This is a relief, I thought it was going to be like you had to pay to use the &8220;EA Servers&8221; so I&8217;d have to pay for XBL plus this.  I&8217;m not interested in any of that stuff.

Waste of money&8230; I just need two games a year. FIFA and NBA 2K&8230; daz it 2K12 isnt even an EA game&8230;

huhu, you get the game three days before scheduled release day&8230; well. nothing special&8230; i always get da game one day before release, so&8230;

if they take 10-20% off the games as well for being apart of this thing, and i&8217;m talking new release, not that older , then it&8217;ll be worth getting.

if they take 10-20% off the games as well for being apart of this thing, and i&8217;m talking new release, not that older , then it&8217;ll be worth getting.

I wonder if &8220;Soundly Rejected&8221; even matters. The Season Ticket is clearly not targeted towards the audience of Pastapadre. It&8217;s aimed towards casual ns that approach games with Zynga-like mentality: Pay some money and get stuff.

If that $25 would apply towards the purchase of a game, no problem! But an addition to the $60 price tag&8230;forget it!

true, but they aren&8217;t gonna NOT carry the game, they just won&8217;t advertise it, kinda like the first monster hunter portable. I&8217;m not saying it&8217;s not gonna be good, not bad either, because the people who signs up for it has internet connection already.

They should get a percentage off the hard disc itself, thus when other people sees it, they would be willing to join, growing at the same time runescape accounts, the reason games cost so much is once they release a new system, they test out a price and if everyone buys it, they keep it at that. &8220;new technology&8221; cost, even though cell phones are dropping prices every quarter.

as long as we, the consumers purchase, they will keep prices high. it is a consumer based economy you know lol

No purchase for me. Not even close to being worth it. It needs to be at least a week early and 50% off all DLC to even be considered.

Can&8217;t wait to see some Game Changers &8212; or OS Staffers, same thing &8212; come out with their blogs saying how well this &8220;idea&8221; is being received.  LoL

Suckers!

If you choose to buy the &8216;Season Ticket&8217; (something I wouldn&8217;t recommend) wait until the last minute to do so. Apparently it runs 365 days and doesnt lock to five titles. Madden 13 will release on August 28th 2012. If you wait until the 26th/27th to buy it, according to the guys at The Gaming Tailgate you&8217;ll be able to squeeze in two Madden&8217;s (as you&8217;d be downloading Madden 13 on August 25th).

i guess i will be in the minority of ppl who LIKE this & i will be buying it if it shows up on the PSN today ! my logic is this , i look at it like merely a way to get a 1up albeit 3 days on most of my PSN list & i am totally in vor of this !

you must not be following the discussions on twitter those game changers have been defending it all morning

Of course. Which is why some DLC sells well or Ultimate Team brings in millions of dollars.

The important thing is try to educate people so that they know this isn&8217;t a good deal. Or if they choose to buy they do so because they really believe its a good value for them.

They aren&8217;t going to not carry Madden since it&8217;s one of the biggest releases of the year & the stores would be giving up considerable revenue but some of EA&8217;s lesser known titles like the one I mentioned that don&8217;t sell as well? It&8217;s a potential.

Now we know why EA Sports has been using all kinds of nickel and dime strategies the past few years. It sounds like they&8217;re hoping a lot of people are already used to paying $10 bucks for some scouting reports or dynasty boosters, and now all those people will see this as a discount. Hell, they might even be right &8211; I&8217;d just be angry if this business model starts to seep down into the core experience of the game.

How about the $60 I just gave you for NCAA that is not finished. &8230; and what about t.  Screw it I can&8217;t even talk about this&8230;&8230;&8230;&8230;&8230;.

Ahh i see , thx for the heads up&8230;i will wait until the last minute & i WILL buy it cause unlike u my friend i dont get early review copies to enjoy & honestly with the lack of smaller mom & pop stores around to take advantage of pre-release day sales i realize this will be as close as i get to that.

I&8217;m in the same boat as you and anyone else. Any time I have early coverage its cause I&8217;ve gotten ahold of a copy I&8217;ve had to pay for (usually well over the retail price). I still can&8217;t recommend it based on what&8217;s being offered, but ultimately its a decision each person makes on their own.

Correct. But I just mentioned in the comments wait until the last minute to buy it if you choose to do so and you&8217;ll be able to sneak in Madden 13 to your year subscription too.

That was something I considered when it was in the survey the possibility of a full week early. 3 days though wouldn&8217;t seem to be an influence on that.

LoL&8230;I just finished reading some of the Game Changers&8217; twitter feeds over lunch.  Those guys are clowns.

Pasta, you can do what you like, but I&8217;d caution against repeating what the Game Changers are saying.  Next year at this time, if it turns out to be not true (and my guess is EA will say, &8220;we always said it would be 5 games), everyone will remember where they heard the mis-information.  From you, not the Game Changer that gave you the lse information.

Anyone remember the days where $49.99 got you a full football game for the Sega Genesis?  Now, it&8217;s $59.99 for the game, $ for DLC, $ for Season Ticket, $ for Online Pass, $ for palming Peter Moore&8217;s balls.  Ridiculous.

im sorry but ive got something called patience, it seems the only good use for this is getting the games 3 days earlier, i will wait, because one its 25 bucks, in my opinion thats not worth it considering its gonna take a day to download the game to your console, logo polo shirts. World of Warcraft Gold. and for what to play it a couple days early, to get a jump on achievements,Uncategorized. sports game achievements arent hard, you just put it on the lowest difficulty and turn of penalties like offside and stuff like that, you can easily knock these achievements on, so once again, what purpose do you get out of this, your paying 85 dollars for one game, think about it that way

if you don&8217;t want it, don&8217;t get it. It gives you benefits, it doesn&8217;t change anything about the games. it&8217;s not like you have to get it in order to play online, or a game mode

That $50 in the early 90&8242;s is easily $60 today. Plus, there was no &8220;online&8221; so of course everything else you listed wasn&8217;t around. Everything except the money for balls palming. That&8217;s always been $15.

Sounds like something only the people who buy every single major EA Sports game, every single year, will want. I only buy NCAA usually and I don&8217;t want to spend $25 to play the game 3 days early.

I&8217;m 27 years old and I&8217;ve been playing video games ever since I can remember, but I swear with the recent trends the video game industry has started with micro-transactions, online passes, and subscriptions for &8220;premium&8221; content, I am ready to give them up.

Who the hell wants to pay 25 dollars in advance for a &8220;premium&8221; service when I can&8217;t even depend on you to create a premium game on a year-to-year basis. I&8217;m sick of the nickel and diming. This industry has been booming ,even in a bad economy badge makerWorcester Telegram & Gazette, and all they do is find ways to milk us for every last drop.

Games nowadays don&8217;t even come out ready out the box anymore. Look at NBA 2K11 and NCAA 12. These games release with fundamentally broken issues that should have been ironed out before release, but because you can just slap a band-aid on it a month later and patch it up, devs don&8217;t even have the decency to put-out a finished product.

Take your Season Ticket and shove it.

We need to act like the NFLPA on this one NOBODY buy into it until they change it to atleast a week before release! SOLIDARITY 3 days is some bs and break it down 5 dollars for each early release because if i dont play Fi why would i want the full game early?

Actually what was $50 dollars in 1993 would cost you $74.48 today. I have no problem with it. its an add on. Some people pay through the nose to get the game early..good for them.  I wont pay for it.. You don&8217;t have to pay for it. some people will.

scratch all of that we paying to get the game 3 days early when it was suppose to be out on the 2nd week in Aug. anyway thats crazy. theres no good excuse why that game isnt coming out on Aug 8th

scratch all of that we paying to get the game 3 days early when it was suppose to be out on the 2nd week in Aug. anyway thats crazy. theres no good excuse why that game isnt coming out on Aug 8th

Sounds interesting but Madden and NCAA are the only EA Titles I buy so I don&8217;t see me getting this.

So let me get this straight&8230;

– I can play a new EA title for three days before its released (The only titles I play are Madden and NHL) So I get to play NHL 12 three days before release and after the three days I stll have to drop the 60 bucks on it. This is more like &8220;Glorified Renting&8221;. Last time I checked though Blockbuster didnt charge 25 dollars for a 3 day game rental

-&8221;Discounted Download Content&8221;??? You mean after paying $25 you dont even get some download content for free? or even half off? Looks like the Ultimate team nerds will eat this up but I dont even use the mode based on the ct that you have to pay money to build a team&8230;i&8217;ll skip thanks

-Free Premium Web Content = Watch nerds give you &8220;pointers&8221; to get you &8220;ahead in your game&8221;. Dumb tutorial videos about that you have already learnd&8230;and ooooo!!! I get a cooler logo for my FIFA team:)

Membership Recognition= A lame 11 logo showing everyone that you were dumb enough to buy the subscrption plan&8230;lets make sure to harass everyone who has &8220;a badge&8221;

Peace

If I buy this, it would hinge on being able to play online from the time I can download it three days early,Vibram Five Fingers Shoes Sale. and not just be able to play the game offline and get the message, &8220;EA servers are down&8221;, because they don&8217;t put them up until release day.  Unfortuneately, I don&8217;t know if there&8217;s any way to be certain that the EA online servers for these games will be up three days early, and I only play online, so that would kill it for me.

its ppl like you that EA laugh their in asses off at. &8220;Like really did these fools actually buy this in rip off&8221; hahaha. your an idiot bro. u might as well wipe your ass with that 25 bucks.

I personally have no plans to purchase this, but I il to see where the outrage is coming from. EA is simply trying to make money, just like every other business ever created, and it&8217;s not like they made downloading this mandatory to play their games.

Not sure where you&8217;re getting your logic.

II used to pay $16.99 for cds in &8217;93&8230;now most albums I buy on iTunes for 9.99 or less.

I really want to sit back and not think about the corporate BS that EA throws at me but, I can&8217;t do it. Why the does EA always do this ? It&8217;s too much. The only guy that would want a 3day advantage is a spoiled frat boy that probably lives with his mother.

Honestly, Do you people give a damn about &8220;Madden Ultimate team&8221; or the Madden shop? It&8217;s clearly a way to cash in on us. If I pay $65 then that&8217;s all I want out of a sports video game. I&8217;m not looking to buy random BS, I&8217;m just looking for simulation in my sports video game and EA is not delivering.

You add double hit tackles in 2011 when it was already implemented in a 2004 video game. What the Fuck?

Other than still us pay for downloadable content (Come on EA $25 isn&8217;t enough?!) one big problem I see with Madden 12 is the first roster update.  Will it be available on the 27th with the digital download?  I&8217;m gonna bet they will not release it until the 30th with the disc.

Other than still us pay for downloadable content (Come on EA $25 isn&8217;t enough?!) one big problem I see with Madden 12 is the first roster update.  Will it be available on the 27th with the digital download?  I&8217;m gonna bet they will not release it until the 30th with the disc.

First off the Madden Shop is a sham. The stuff they offer were unlockables on last gen Madden called &8220;Madden Cards&8221;.

This &8220;Ultimate Team&8221; is another sham April 2011, They get stupid sheep to buy this and have pride on how they bought virtual football cards from a virtual pack that randomly gives the consumer random cards. Who&8217;s to say there random, There could be a trick behind it but, that&8217;s a conspiracy.

I can&8217;t believe how much  money this company makes. They have the worlds largest motion capture studio, they make money off there portable version(ipods and etc), they make money off the Madden  Shop and Ultimate teams, they make money off used video game sales(if you want to play online), they profit in every single way you could think of.

That&8217;s why when the madden team says &8220;Well we only had a year to develop the game&8221; that&8217;s just BS at its finest cause there there money and resources they could make the greatest football game ever.

I have a feeling were gonna get a good game from EA when they lose the exclusive rights.

for real pasta if you could get the game a week in advance then were talking three days though&8230; I have the patience to wait

my concern is if you purchase this will you get the online pass to play online or will you have to wait to get the retail version.

documentaryEndeavour Announces Second Quarter 2011 Financial and Operational Results

Posted on August 3, 2011 by admin

HOUSTON, Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ –Endeavour International Corporation today reported adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter of 2011 was $7.6 million compared to $13.1 million in the second quarter of 2010 and $4.1 million in the first quarter of 2011. On a GAAP basis, net loss was $15.6 million for the second quarter of 2011 as compared to net income of $0.6 million for the same quarter in 2010.

documentaryEndeavour Announces Second Quarter 2011 Financial and Operational Results,Business Highlights:

North Sea:

Commenced drilling operations at Bacchus

Agreement of commercial terms for the processing and transportation of the Greater Rochelle production on the Scott Platform

Contracts awarded for the pipeline and umbilicals for the development of Greater Rochelle area

U.S. Onshore:

Announced the acquisition of 50,000 net acres in Marcellus Shale with existing production and pipeline infrastructure

8 gross wells brought on production through July in Louisiana and East Texas

4 additional gross wells completing or drilling in Louisiana

Financial:

Increased available capital in July resulting in cash on hand of approximately $245 million

During the second quarter financial results were as expected, while we made substantive progress on our U.K. development projects and our U.S. Haynesville unconventional gas play. Adding to this progress, our announced strategic acquisition of acreage and infrastructure gives us exposure to 1.0 to 1.3 trillion cubic feet of gross recoverable natural gas resource potential in the Marcellus area. We are confident that the balanced portfolio can deliver significant growth in both oil and natural gas production in the near-term, said William L. Transier, chairman, chief executive officer and president. During July, the Company enhanced its flexibility and growth potential by adding approximately $100 million in available liquidity in addition to funding the $110 million needed for the Marcellus acquisition. The additional capital provides the resources to take advantage of opportunities for growth from existing and emerging parts of our portfolios, while also providing liquidity in case of any unforeseen events.

Operational Update

North Sea

The drilling of the three planned development wells is underway in the Bacchus field in Block 22/06a in the Central North Sea. Production from the development is expected to begin in the fourth quarter. The Company has a 30% working interest in the field.

In the Greater Rochelle area, the Company awarded two contracts for the design and brication of components for the subsea development that will link production for processing and transport to the nearby Scott platform. The contract for the drilling rig for the development will be finalized during the third quarter. Endeavour is operator and holds a 44% ownership interest in the Greater Rochelle development which is now comprised of Blocks 15/26b, 15/26c and 15/27.

U.S. Onshore

Endeavour will assume operated interests in leasehold, producing wells, pipeline and related cilities held by SM Energy Company and its minority partners in McKean and Potter Counties. The transaction increases Endeavours leasehold interest in the Marcellus shale to approximately 93,000 gross (68,000 net) acres with more than 300 identified drilling locations in McKean and Cameron counties alone. The purchase will strengthen the Companys position in one of the most active and low-cost U.S. shale plays and provides significant production and reserve potential. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter. In the Companys existing Marcellus acreage in Cameron County, two horizontal wells are waiting on completion, while the existing Daniel Field gathering infrastructure is being expanded.

During the quarter, Endeavour brought six gross wells on production in its Haynesville and Cotton Valley plays in Louisiana and East Texas, respectively. In July, production commenced from two additional gross wells with four other wells currently completing or drilling.

In the Montana Heath shale oil play, the Company and its partners expect to launch drilling operations on four vertical wells in the third quarter. In the Alabama Devonian shale gas play, Endeavour has successfully drilled and cased a horizontal re-entry of a previously drilled vertical pilot well. This well is anticipated to be completed and tested by the fourth quarter.

Financing Update

During the second quarter, the Company completed the redemption of all of its outstanding $81.25 million of 6% Senior Notes due 2012. The Notes were exchanged at 100% of principal amount plus accrued and unpaid interest.

In July, Endeavour closed on its private placement of $135 million aggregate principal amount of 5.5% convertible senior notes due 2016, including the full exercise by the initial purchasers of their option to purchase an additional $15 million principal amount of the offering. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering primarily to fund its announced acquisition of operated interest in the Pennsylvania Marcellus shale play. Endeavour also expanded its credit cility by $75 million under the terms of its Senior Term Loan.

In addition, the Company entered into a letter of credit cility agreement with Commonwealth Bank of Australia in the amount of pounds Sterling 20,600,000 (approximately $33 million). Associated with the letters of credit was the release of the restrictions on approximately $33 million of cash.

countries euFar-right extremism gains momentum

Posted on August 3, 2011 by admin

LONDON – Norway is not the only country suffering from r-right extremism. Like a virus, it is spreading throughout Europcountries europee.

countries euFar-right extremism gains momentum,The recent massacre by r-right Norwegian zealot Anders Behring Breivik brought the problem into the spotlight. But populist anti-immigration parties have been performing strongly across Western Europe, where many countries are still struggling to emerge from recent economic hardship.
